Hampi Story

遺跡の町ハンピーにて週末旅行。
12人のイギリス人の学生グループに混じっての旅…
インドという外国の中のイギリスというさらなる外国の中の…不思議な空間で3泊4日を過ごしてきました。
（イギリス人というのはグループになると何となく日本人に似ているよな…慎重にグループ行動をして、「あなたがいいなら私もするわ」「あなたがしたいようにすれば」と本音はさておき、まず調和を求め、結構真面目に遺跡をもくもくと回る…というところ。）


ハンピ-は町全体が14世紀の遺跡からなる、廃墟と巧みな観光産業とヒッピー文化とマリファナと自然がひとつになっている不思議な場所でした。
インドって広いな…とまたもや実感。
廃墟はずっと見続けるとなぜかむなしくなってきてしまうので、
一日の大半を川べりで泳いで、スイカを食べ、ピーナッツを食べ、ビールを飲み、唐辛子のから揚げを食べ、
ひたすら消費してすごしました。何となく後ろめたい気分。
一緒に泳いだイギリス人の学生はその後かなり具合が悪くなっていましたが、私は今のところ問題なく。大丈夫なのだろうか…。


インドの夜行バス、夜行列車、バンガロールの市内バスも体験し、ああすごい国だな、と日々思って
また今日から学校の普段の生活に戻ってます。


A long weekend away in Hampi amongst the students group from Oxford Brooks.  
Somehow getting huge empty feeling looking at the ruins.  
Spent the beautiful time by the river, swimming, rolling the boat with Watermelon, looking at birds and buffaloes.
Just ate and drunk and slept and consumed... well, isn't it allright time to time.

writing Kannada alphabet one by one. 

India is....

so far still in one piece...

actually in a good piece

well fed, sleeping well, learning well. 

India is somewhere I cannot explain in one word.

インドより。
明日から学校が始まります。
アニメーション制作や、農作業、知的ハンディを持つ子供との作業…など。色々。普段は「頑張る」と言わないんだけど、頑張ろう。
